Accessibility Policy

Overview

Event Kit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Compliance Status

We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs. Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts its functionality and behaviour for screen-readers used by blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website to ensure that it is accessible to as many people as possible:

  • Alternative text for all images ensures that screen readers can describe them to visually impaired users.

  • Descriptive text for all links, to ensure that screen readers can describe the destination of the link to visually impaired users.

  • Clear, easy-to-understand language throughout the website, to ensure that the content is accessible to people with cognitive disabilities.

  • Keyboard navigation support, to ensure that the website can be navigated using only a keyboard, without the need for a mouse or other pointing device.

  • Colour contrast standards, to ensure that the text on the website is easy to read for people with visual impairments.

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various behavioural changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers can read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively.

Enforcement

We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. If you encounter any accessibility issues on our website, please contact us immediately so that we can address the issue. We will investigate all complaints promptly and take appropriate action to ensure that the issue is resolved.

Updates

We will review and update this accessibility policy on a regular basis, as necessary, to ensure that it remains up-to-date with the latest accessibility standards and best practices.
